Masami Tanaka
DVMDr. Tanaka was born in Kobe, Japan. She earned a BA degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a MBA degree from the Chaminade University of Honolulu. She worked as a Marketing Director at an advertisement firm in Hawaii, facilitating companies with an interest in doing business with Japanese. She decied to change her career when she began volunteering at the animal hospital where she had been taking her cat. She received a DVM degree from the Washington State University in 2001. Since then, she has been with the VCA Silver Lake Animal Hospital. Dr. Tanaka loves internal medicine, expecially geriatric medicine and is a strong believer of early disease detection and preventative medicine. She is a compassionate and dedicated doctor and treats every patient as if they were her own. She values long-term relationships with her clients and their pet. Her hobbies are gardening, collecting antique furniture, books, and dolls. She is happily married with a husband of many years with three dogs and four cats, "Misty", "Reagan", "Winston", "Thatcher", "Chiyonofuji", "Chaa", and "Sachi".
